Celebrate Halloween 2015 in Winnipeg!
The weather is cooling off and the leaves are changing, you know what that means! Halloween! It’s the time of year we can all dress up and get a little spooky! Schwabe Pumpkins – They grow every size and try to find new varieties every year. They grow white pumpkins, red pumpkins, blue pumpkins, warty pumpkins, minis, medium, large, and jumbo PUMPKINS!
Meandher Creek Pumpkin Patch – At the Meandher Creek Pumpkin Patch it’s not all about pumpkins. It’s about family fun, at it’s best, on the farm! We offer family activities for the young and the young at heart.
Corn Mazes and Haunted Places
Spooktackular Fun Shelmerdine’s – Daily October 10 to 31 (excluding Sundays and Thanksgiving Monday)
For kids ages 3-10, this not-so-scary indoor playground features a haymaze, tire swings, bouncy castle, ziplines, face painting and more! A great way to get into the Halloween spirit!
Just $5 per child; proceeds benefit local children’s charities. The Halloween Funzone is open Monday – Saturday from 9am-4:30pm, Thursdays from 9am-7:30pm. Closed on Sundays. Ideal for children ages 3-10.
Steinbach Corn Maze and Adventures – Adventure trails for the whole family. Come out and enjoy a day out in the corn maze and play a variety of fun activities. Located 45 minutes South of Winnipeg.
Amaze In Corn – Located just 10 minutes south of Winnipeg near St. Adolphe. It is Manitoba’s leading corn maze.
Penner Pumpkins and the Scarecrow forest – your place in southeast Manitoba for Family Fun on the Farm! Located 45 minutes southeast of Winnipeg, 7 minutes northeast of Steinbach, we are home to many fun activities ranging from the Scarecrow Forest and Petting Farm, to Ziplining and Pony Rides!
Deer Meadow Farms – Deer Meadow Farms Corn Maze is just 5 miles north of Winnipeg near Bird’s Hill Park.
Six Pines Haunted Attractions – Six Pines Haunted Attractions takes place on an old 1911 farm just 2.5 miles north of the Perimeter Hwy on Sturgeon Road, just minutes north of the City of Winnipeg. During the day Six Pines will take you and your family for a trip back to that mysterious place, somewhere far away from the homeland of Transylvania; the place known as Castle Frightenstone… Six Pines offers family trick-or-treat fun with a variety of “fang”tastic events for boys and ghouls of all ages. No reservations are required on the weekends. Venues continuous every 10-15 minutes.
Murray’s Maze – Boonstra Farms – Located just 15 minutes north of the Winnipeg perimeter near Stonewall. Admission includes the corn maze, hay ride, hay maze, petting zoo and train ride with free bonfires every Saturday night.
Halloween Haunt – Marine Museum of Manitoba
October 16, 17, 23, 24, 25 & 30
6 – 9pm (if in line @ 9 you will get in!)
This is our scariest ship and not recommended for children under 15. Parental discretion is advised. 14 years and under must have an adult accompany them. If you dare enter, there is no turning back! If you decide halfway thru that you can’t continue, there is a spot you can “exit with dignity”!

This ship is for young children to enjoy. It is decorated and nobody will scare them!
Children can walk thru this ship and enjoy Halloween without the scare!

This ship hosts nightly scheduled events such as, face painting and live entertainment. Our concession is also located on this ship where you can enjoy caramel apples, drinks and other treats!

Halloween at the Hill Event – Birds Hill Park Ranch
October 17, 7 – 9pm
Wear your costume, if you dare, and take in the special activities including face painting, campfire, crafts, a haunted forest and our interpretive guided night hike.
The evil White-nose Fun-guy has risen to power and is threatening to invade our land and destroy the bats of Manitoba. Help Batty the Bat battle the evil forces on this spooktacular night hike through the forests of Birds Hill Park.
For a small fee the Birds Hill Park Ranch will also be offering hay rides.
FortWhyte Alive – Trick or Treat in the Forest

Get your spookiest costumes on and come down to FortWhyte Alive to do some Trick or Treating. Safe and fun for everyone. Free with admission, while supplies last.
The Forks Market Halloween Party – Centre Court
October 31 – 12pm to 3pm
A safe trick or treating event for kids of all ages. Make your own trick or treat bag, play games, get your face painted and get a balloon animal.
Halloween Howl – Manitoba Children’s Museum

TRICK-OR-TREAT! Want a night of Halloween DELIGHT? Then join us for fangtastic family entertainment at the 19th Annual Halloween Howl! Safely trick-or-treat in 12 indoor ghastly galleries, participate in spooktacular activities, make creepy crafts, and have some ghoulish fun!
Haunted Hanger – Western Canada Aviation Museum

An evening for the whole family with spooky ghost stories in our scary aircraft hangar. Candy for the kids. The event is free to museum members and $6 for non-members. The event is free with the purchase of a family membership (cost: $50). Doors open at 5:30 pm. Reservations required.
Lower Fort Scary – Lower Fort Garry National Historic Site of Canada
October 18, 24, 25 – 11am to 4pm
Calling all pint-sized trick o’ treaters for an afternoon of silly scares and fun. Hop aboard the Scary Express as you head towards adventure.
Find ghosts hiding in the fur loft, be amazed by the magician’s tricks, explore the witch’s pantry, have your face painted or dig in and do a Halloween craft.
Warm up with hot chocolate and cookies as you get your Boo Pass stamped at each to stop to claim your goodie bag full of treats!
Fright at the Fort – Lower Fort Garry National Historic Site of Canada

The Lower Fort Garry penitentiary has been overrun and the most heinous inmates are on the loose.
Enter the grounds at your own risk as you encounter local residents and North West Mounted Police officers as they try to keep order at the Fort to end the bloody rampage of the escaped convicts.
Watch your back, because you could be the next victim.

we have a walk through Halloween display, a costume contest, a haunted grave yard, a pumpkin carving contest and a photo opportunity. Lots of fun activities for everyone! Don’t worry parents, it’s not too scary for the young ones. So get dressed up and come visit us in the Transcona Centennial Square, 135 Regent Ave West.
Halloween Carnival – 2050 Chevrier Blvd
October 31, 12pm – 5pm
A FREE afternoon of fun for the whole family! Wear your costume, play some games, jump on some bouncers, get your face painted and a balloon animal made, and leave with some fun stuff to start off your Trick-or-Treating!
Concession stand featuring Hot Dogs, Popcorn, Cotton Candy, Drinks and other various options will be available, all for $2 or less!

Learn all about the spooky creatures of the marsh!
Explore the dark side of Oak Hammock Marsh. Go on a guided marsh walk and learn the grim story of this wetland. Dare to sample the scary food from our Café.
Candies will be given to whoever comes dressed up in their best Halloween costume.

Portage Place, Safe Halloween – October 31, 2:30pm – 5:30pm
Portage Place tenants and business would like to make this Halloween safe and secure for your children. On October 31st from 2:30pm to 5:30pm kids accompanied by their parents, are welcome to visit participating businesses for some special Halloween treats. Participants merchants will have orange and black balloons outside their stores to let parents and their children know that they have Halloween treats (while supplies last.)

Spooky Science Activities – Defy gravity, make slime, extract pumpkin DNA, collect candy, and more!
St Vital Centre – October 31, 3pm – 5pm
We invite all the monsters, zombies, ghosts, butterflies, fairies and superheroes to come stay dry and warm on October 31 from 3 – 5 pm for Safe Trick or Treating!
Free treat bags for kids 10 and under, while supplies last.

Bring your little ghouls and goblins to KP for safe Halloween trick-or-treating on Friday, October 30 from 2:00-4:30pm Start at Guest Services to receive a free treat bag and list of participating stores.
Grant Park – October 30, 4pm – 7pm
An Evening at Hogwarts will welcome kids of ALL ages to the magical world of Harry Potter and his friends. Walk through the display area found at the west end of the mall, and trick or treat inside the comfort of the shopping centre from 4:00 to 7:30pm! Parents, don’t forget your cameras.
In addition to our display, there will be a FREE photo booth in the mall where everyone can get their mug shots taken for Azkaban Prison. Take home your photo on the spot!
Parents will enjoy free refreshments from McDonald’s and DAVIDsTEA and several tenants will be offering special activities for the kids at their stores.
99.1 Fresh FM will also be broadcasting live on site and handing out candy to the kids as well!
